Chamber Ambassadors

 

The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors represent one of the most important volunteer groups within the Chamber.  As an Ambassador you  will be responsible for assisting in maintaining open lines of communication between the Chamber and its Members. 

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Ambassadors program is to promote general membership services and enhance goodwill for the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in the community; to assist in the recruitment of new members through personal contacts, membership involvement, and to encourage involvement, awareness and maximum member retention

OBJECTIVE

The objective of the Ambassadors is to have fun and be the public relations arm of the Chamber.  They accomplish this objective by providing assistance to new members and guests, and attending existing members’ functions. 

Ambassador events/activities include:

  • Ribbon cuttings
  • Grand Openings
  • Chamber events, such as Business After Hours, Eggs & Issues, Golf Tournament, Annual Dinner
  • New Member orientation
  • Member Expo
  • Special events

QUALITIES OF AN AMBASSADOR

Ambassadors are carefully selected and as a result, the group is comprised of highly respected individuals.  They have an outgoing personality, possess good organizational skills, are dependable and honest, believe in and support the efforts of the Chamber, are socialble, strong contributors to the group who enjoy spending time with other professionals and are able to balance the necessary time commitment of the program.

If you are interested in becoming a Chamber Ambassador, or need more information,  contact us at 540.552.2636.  Then simply print and  complete  the Ambassador Application, and fax it back to 540.552.2639.   The Board of Directors will meet and you will be notified within two weeks of your application status.
