Marketing and Advertising
Chamber Members are invited to advertise in targeted, effective and affordable bi-monthly newsletters and/or quarterly mailers.
Newsletter: Newsletters are sent to the Chamber Membership base and Courtesy Members on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. If you wish to advertise in the newsletter, contact the Chamber no later than 1 week in advance of the next scheduled newsletter.
Mailers: Physical mailers are sent to the Chamber Membership and Courtesy Members on a quarterly basis. Contact the Chamber to reserve your ad space and bring 900 pieces of your marketing material to the Chamber office no later than noon on the day preceeding the mailer.

Chamber Office: With tourist, visitors, people relocating to the area and the student population, you will want to advertise your business in the Chamber office! Bring your marketing material to be prominently displayed in the front office. Free of charge for Chamber Members.
Events: Watch the Chamber Facebook page, website, eblast, mailers and flyers for Chamber related events throughout the year. An excellent way to build relationships with Chamber Members and the public. Chamber Members will always have first access to sponsor events at reasonable rates.
New Members
Help us welcome our new Members to the Chamber family by attending Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings. These are offered to Chamber Members to introduce them to the community, Chamber Ambassadors, and Staff Members. As a Chamber courtesy, photos of the ribbon cutting will be taken and submitted to local newspapers, announcing the event. If you are a new or existing Member who has not held a formal ribbon cutting or grand opening, contact the Chamber to get started.
New Member Orientation: A new member orientation will occur on a quarterly basis for new members who wish to learn more about their membership and all the Chamber has to offer. Free to attend, it is the first step to building and transforming your membership into a valuable tool for your business. Events
Chamber events that are held on a monthly basis include Eggs & Issues, (the 1st Thursday of every month) and Business After Hours, (held the 3rd Thursday of every month). Eggs and Issues are open to the public and Chamber Membership and require a reservation. Business After Hours are open to the Chamber Membership and their guest only. Other yearly events that may be Member only events include, but are not limited to, the Chamber Golf Classic, The Business Expo, Leadership New River Valley, Ribbon Cuttings/Grand Openings, Seminars and the Annual Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
Events are announced in Chamber communications such as the events calendar, newsletter, mailer, e-blast and Facebook. Contact the Chamber to participate or volunteer in Chamber related events.
